Grooming is vital for your dog's health, and we believe all dogs deserve their day at the spa. We specialize in handling pets that don't necessarily enjoy going to the groomer, or have even been banned from other grooming salons. We also welcome all breeds and ages. Our goal is for all dogs to have a low stress, positive experience with us.
We only schedule one family per groomer at a time, that way your dogs get your groomer's undivided attention. This also allows us to get your dogs groomed faster. An average groom takes 1-2 hours per dog.
Whether you just need a nail trim or a full groom we've got you covered.
We offer deshedding, deskunking, medicated baths, flea and tick baths, breed specific or custom haircuts and more.
All baths and grooms come with nails, ears, and anal glands along with using whatever products will best benefit your pup.

All services are by appointment. We schedule one family per groomer at a time. If you are 15 minutes late for your appointment we will need to reschedule you. If you are early please wait outside until your appointment time. If your groomer is available early they will come out and get you.
Owners are not allowed to stay with their pet during their groom. For short services like nail trims please wait outside or in your car.
You must pick up your pet within 30 minutes of the completion of their groom. If you need to leave your dog after their groom you must schedule them for daycare when you schedule their groom, which will add an additional $20-$30 depending on how long they stay.
Matting will be removed in whatever way is best for your pet, which includes clipping short if needed. Additional fees will apply for matting. Matting can cause bruising, sores, and ear hematomas, and the removal of mattes can cause knicks and irritation. Kindred Spirits Pet Care is not responsible for injuries caused by matting or its removal.
Dogs such as Australian shepherds and Pomeranians can have damaged coats if clipped too short. We recommend keeping them longer for that reason unless matted or medically necessary. However, we respect the decision of owners and will groom your dog how you want. Kindred Spirits Pet Care will not be held responsible for any coat damage caused by clipping your double coated dog.
If a pet is injured in our care due to an accident on our part we will cover the veterinary visit and related follow up appointments and medications. If an injury is due to a preexisting condition, including, but not limited to, matting, seizures, respiratory problems, heart problems, allergies, etc. Kindred Spirits Pet Care will not be held responsible for any medical costs. If you believe your pet has been injured in our care you have 24 hours from your groom appointment to contact us. Anything after that time we are not responsible for.
If you fail to pick up your pet before closing we will set your pet up for boarding and you will not be able to pick up your pet until our open hours the following day. We will hold your pet for 24 hours from their initial drop off time. If you pick up your pet before the 24 hours are up you may be charged a $50 "unscheduled boarding" fee per pet. If you do not retrieve your pet within 24 hours, and do not communicate with us during that time, we may hand your pet over to animal control. You will still be responsible for the grooming and unscheduled boarding fee.
All dogs are required to be current on their rabies vaccination. Please send us a picture or bring the paperwork to drop off. Tags do not provide the information we need. If your dog cannot receive the vaccine for any reason please provide a letter from your veterinarian explaining that they are exempt.
We do not require the Bordetella vaccine. If you choose to get it you may get the injectable vaccine up to the same day that you drop off. If your dog receives the intranasal vaccine you must wait at least 2 weeks before bringing your dog to our facility as that version of the vaccine sheds the live bacteria. Kindred Spirits Pet Care will not be held responsible if your dog contracts kennel cough.
We stand by our work. If you are dissatisfied with your dog’s groom you have 24 hours to contact us so we can get you scheduled for a redo groom at no charge to you.
Grooming is harder on senior pets. Grooms may take longer and include breaks, be shorter, or need to be broken into several appointments. Your senior pet will be the guide for how their groom proceeds. Senior grooms may not look as good as their grooms did when they were younger. Your pet may also be more sore or tired after a groom.
Groomers are human and may need to occasionally reschedule appointments due to illness, injury, family emergencies etc. We will get your pet rescheduled as soon as possible. We do not like when this happens, and know it can be frustrating, but we ask that our clients are understanding and patient with us.
We recognize our clients as humans too, and we understand life happens. Because we value you we do not charge a no-show or cancellation fee. We just ask that you communicate with us as soon as possible.
Rude, inappropriate, or aggressive behavior will never be tolerated. Any client that behaves in this way will be dismissed as our client.
To be respectful of our neighbors and the other animals on our property, please keep your dog on a leash, or under strict voice control.
Because our street is narrow please park in the driveway or pull off the road as far as possible so other vehicles can drive by if needed.
